Grocery Shopping at Parkside: What’s Here and What’s to Come

There are many shopping locations coming to the Westphalia area, including Westphalia Town Center. Soon, right next door to Parkside on Pennsylvania Ave., there will be a grocery store and shops. Literally in almost walking distance! What a fun and exciting place to be right now.

Currently, the closest grocery store is Safeway in Osborne Shopping Center at 7605 Crain Hwy. They are expanding as well, and there’s a petition for anyone who’d like to make suggestions on what restaurant or fast food chain you’d like to see here. If you’d like to offer your suggestion, you can add it to the petition here.

Another great place to shop on the weekends (Thurs-Sat) is the Dutch Village Farmers Market at 5030 Brown Station Road. It’s a great place for fresh meats, fruits, vegetables, bread – you can’t go wrong here! Get there early and pull a ticket at each shop for great produce or made-from-scratch pastries.

Living in Parkside, sometimes life can get busy, too busy to physically go to the grocery store. Well don’t forget that Safeway delivers, and so does Target now through its Shipt app. Shipt will deliver same day, while Safeway may need a little more planning but think of the time you’ll save with grocery delivery. You can use that time to walk the dog, run your kids to their activities, or just chill and watch TV! No matter what, living in Parkside is a convenient way to live, and plans to become even more convenient as time goes on.

Fall is a great time to have fun!
