Prince George’s County is aligning with the State of Maryland to lift capacity restrictions for all indoor and outdoor venues; but face coverings will still be required indoors, on public transportation, and at crowded outdoor venues including ticketed sporting events. These new guidelines will go into effect by Executive Order on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 5:01 p.m.
The lift is going into effect as a direct result of “a rapid decline in key COVID-19 metrics, as well as increasing vaccination rates in the County” stated by Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks.
So as of Monday, at 5:01 p.m., all indoor and outdoor venues in Prince George’s County may resume normal operations. The County will consider future changes to mask requirements based on key COVID-19 metrics and vaccination rates among County residents. Click the link for the complete Press Release.
